Public Affairs & Community Engagement (PACE)

The Public Affairs & Community Engagement (PACE) Department helps connect the Police Accountability Board (PAB) with the people of Rochester. Through outreach, education, and communications, PACE ensures that community voices are heard and that the PAB’s mission of accountability, transparency, and equity is shared citywide.

PACE is built on three pillars:

• Community Engagement – Building relationships and listening directly to residents.
• Public Affairs – Sharing accurate information through press releases, media, and public statements.
• Social Media & Digital Outreach – Keeping the community informed and connected online.

Public Affairs

The Public Affairs team manages the PAB’s public communications. This includes drafting and publishing press releases, responding to media inquiries, and ensuring accurate information reaches the community. The team also oversees the PAB’s social media presence to provide timely updates and resources.

Community Engagement

The Community Engagement team represents the PAB in neighborhoods and at community events. Team members meet residents where they are, listening to concerns, answering questions, and making sure the public stays informed about their rights and the PAB’s ongoing work.
