111 reports were filed with the agency in the first 30-days

Today, the Police Accountability Board marks one month since the agency opened its doors to the community to accept reports of police misconduct. In 30 days the PAB has accepted 111 reports from the people of Rochester. At this pace, the PAB is likely to reach roughly 500 total reports before the new year.

Between June 20th and July 19th:

  • Case managers processed 111 reports.
  • 25 claimed that interactions with an officer resulted in severe injury.
  • 6 involved allegations of sexual assault.
  • The majority of the reports involved general claims of misconduct.

The PAB will release a formal report on August 1st.
