• You or someone you know has had a bad, or questionable experience with the Rochester Police Department.

• RPD didn’t respond when they were called.

• RPD used unnecessary force against you or someone you know.

• You were a victim of or witnessed someone being discriminated against by RPD officers. Discrimination is the unfair treatment of different people based on race, age, or sex, mental health condition, or more.

• You were or you witnessed someone being wrongly searched by RPD.

• You were or you witnessed somebody’s property being taken wrongfully by RPD.

• RPD Falsely imprisoned or arrested you, or someone you know.

• You or someone you know experienced sexual assault or abuse by an RPD officer.

• An RPD officer or officers denied you medical care.

• An RPD officer or officers didn’t get involved when you asked for help.

You can file an anonymous report. Please note that if you do file a report anonymously it may be harder for us to investigate your case if we need more information.

If you’re choosing to file a report anonymously, please consider taking the following actions so that we can still reach you if we need more information for your case:

1. Create a google voice number, so that we can reach you on a phone number that is separate from your phone number. You can make a google voice number here: https://voice.google.com
2. Consider creating an alternative email for us to contact you back on. This can be done at https://mail.google.com
3. Use a friend or family’s mailing address for us to be able to contact you by mail.
